British
Orthodontic Society
(www.bos.org.uk)
The BOS is established to promote the study and practice
of orthodontics, to maintain and improve professional
standards in orthodontics, and to encourage research
and education in orthodontics. This website can be a
useful source of information.
American
Association of Orthodontists (www.aaortho.org)
The AAO has similar aims but the information, as would
be expected, is presented with American style. On the
home page, click where indicated if you are "not an
AAO member", and then click on "About Orthodontics".
British
Dental Association
(www.bda-dentistry.org.uk)
The BDA is the professional association for UK general
dentists. There is very little about orthodontics in
the website but it is informative for other branches
of dentistry.
General
Dental Council (
www.gdc-uk.org)
The GDC is the regulatory authority for all dentists
and orthodontists in the UK. The names of all registered
dentists and specialists are available on this site.
